This is a brand new remodelled version of Kings of the Wild Frontier... celebrating 36 YEARS since the original was released. It was Adam himself that asked me to record the album, which of course was a great honour and thrill.

It's not meant as a copycat album as we could never improve on such a classic, rather an Ant fan’s homage to the fabulously exciting original record by Adam, Marco and co which had such an impact on my life... and features MARCO PIRRONI's return to making fantastic music.

For this ambitious project I linked up with guitarist Psycho Pete (Pete Walsh) and we began working together to create our version of KOTWF. Initially we tried out some of our electronic interpretations playing to live audiences, scarily in front of Adam’s own fans as we supported him at selected gigs around the UK, performing them in front of up to 3000 Ant fans. The reaction was far better than we could have hoped for. The fans were so supportive and this gave us motivation to progress to the recording stage. We made many alterations to the mixes before we were happy.

Adam Ant himself continued to be supportive throughout the recording process and gave us opportunities to open more gigs playing a mixture of his and our own songs. With Adam’s own music career regaining momentum over the next couple of years it was increasingly difficult for him to give us the time the project needed.

The recording was halted dramatically in 2014 when I was suddenly hospitalised in three intensive care units with a succession of life-threatening illnesses. My wife insisted on the uncompleted KOTWF album playing continuously throughout my coma and I have no doubt this provided me with a subconscious link to the outside world and aided my recovery. After my rehabilitation, Adam had become too busy with his own music to continue with the project and Psycho Pete and I took up where we left off. We were very flattered when co-writer of the original album and Ant guitarist Marco Pirroni wanted to work with us on the album injecting his signature guitar playing and Izzie Voodoo provided additional vocals and bass guitar, enabling us to complete the work.
